Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of the website and client portal operated by Kinetics Motorsport LTD, and the chip tuning and ECU remapping services we provide. By placing an order, creating a portal account, or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Our services
We provide custom ECU calibration ("tuning") services for petrol and diesel vehicles, including cars, vans, trucks, motorcycles, and agricultural and construction machinery. Services may be delivered in person at our workshop or remotely through our client portal, where you upload an original ECU file and we return a modified file.
All file modifications are performed manually by our technicians. We do not resell automated or generic output.
2. Your responsibilities
- You confirm that you are the owner of the vehicle, or that you have the owner's permission to have its software modified.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, including vehicle details, ECU type, hardware and software numbers, and any fitted hardware modifications.
- You are responsible for supplying a complete, uncorrupted original file read with appropriate professional equipment.
- You must keep a backup of your original file. We also retain a copy, but you should not rely on us as your only backup.
- You are responsible for correctly writing the returned file to the vehicle, or for having it written by a competent professional.
3. Vehicle condition
Tuning increases the loads placed on an engine and drivetrain. You confirm that the vehicle is in sound mechanical condition and properly maintained before tuning. We may decline to tune a vehicle if we believe it is not in a suitable condition.
Important — modifications, warranty and insurance. Modifying your vehicle's ECU software may void or affect the manufacturer's warranty. It may also affect your insurance cover: most insurers require you to declare modifications, and failure to do so can invalidate a policy. It is your responsibility to notify your insurer and to check your warranty position before proceeding.
4. Road legality and emissions
You are responsible for ensuring that any modification complies with the law in the country where the vehicle is used. Some modifications are intended for closed-course, competition or off-road use only and may render a vehicle unfit for use on public roads or unable to pass a roadworthiness or emissions test. Where a service is restricted in this way we will tell you, but the final responsibility for lawful use rests with you.
5. Credits, prices and payment
- Portal file services are paid for with credits purchased in advance through the client portal.
- Prices are shown before you confirm an order. VAT is added where applicable; business customers with a valid VAT registration in another EU member state may qualify for reverse charge.
- Credits have no cash value, are not transferable between accounts, and are not redeemable for cash.
- Credits do not expire while your account remains active.
- Discount codes are subject to any conditions shown at the time, and we may withdraw or amend a code at any time.
- An invoice is issued automatically for each credit purchase and is available in your portal.
6. Turnaround times
Turnaround times shown in the portal are estimates during our working hours and are not guaranteed. Orders placed outside working hours are normally handled on the next working day. Priority handling, where purchased, moves your order ahead of standard orders in our queue but is still not a guaranteed delivery time.
7. Revisions
If the returned file does not perform as expected, you may request a revision through the portal at no additional charge. Please describe clearly what the vehicle is doing. We will adjust the calibration where the issue relates to our work.
Revisions do not cover requests for a different service than the one ordered, changes required because the vehicle's hardware has since been altered, or faults arising from mechanical condition rather than calibration.
8. Refunds
Because a tuned file is produced individually for your vehicle, it is a bespoke digital product and is not returnable once delivered.
- If we are unable to complete your order, any credits charged are returned to your account in full.
- If a fault in our work cannot be resolved through revision, we will refund the credits charged for that order.
- Unused credits may be refunded at our discretion; credits already spent on delivered files are not refundable.
Consumers in the EU have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days. By requesting immediate delivery of a bespoke digital file, you acknowledge that this right does not apply once the file has been delivered.
9. Liability
We take care in our work and stand behind it. However, to the extent permitted by law:
- Our total liability in connection with any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of use, loss of profit, recovery costs, or vehicle downtime.
- We are not liable for damage arising from a file written incorrectly by you or a third party, from an interrupted write, from pre-existing mechanical faults, or from continued use of a vehicle after a fault has become apparent.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
10. Your files and our work
You retain your rights in the original file you upload. The calibration work we produce remains our intellectual property, and is licensed to you for use on the single vehicle it was written for. You may not resell, redistribute, or publish files we supply, or use them on other vehicles.
11. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your portal login credentials secure and for activity on your account. We recommend enabling two-factor authentication, which is available in your account settings. Tell us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
We may suspend or close an account that is used unlawfully, that breaches these Terms, or that is used to redistribute our work.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the moment you place an order is the version that applies to that order.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Bulgaria. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the Bulgarian courts. If you are a consumer, you may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
14. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent to admin@kinetics-tuning.com or raised as a support ticket in the client portal.
